Dr. Mahesh Mahadev Lohar contributes an education- and society-centred perspective to the leadership of Sukhada Foundation. His academic work brings together political science, social research, democratic values, governance, constitutional studies and public awareness. His doctoral research at Shivaji University, Kolhapur examined movements against superstition and the legal and social dimensions associated with Aghori practices and black magic. Alongside his academic qualifications in Political Science and education, he has developed substantial experience in teaching, academic assessment, digital literacy and community-oriented educational activities. His research and scholarly interests have addressed democracy, elections, governance, social reform, women’s participation, local self-government, constitutional values and contemporary social challenges. Through teaching and extension activities, he has also worked to make digital tools and educational resources more accessible to learners and educators. This combination of social research, pedagogy and digital skills strengthens the Foundation’s ability to connect scientific innovation with people, institutions and communities. At Sukhada Foundation, his role is especially aligned with research education, awareness, capacity building, inclusive innovation and the responsible adoption of technology. His leadership perspective reinforces the belief that meaningful innovation should be scientifically sound, socially relevant, accessible to communities and capable of contributing to a more informed and sustainable society.
